Military career

[edit]

Is anything known about his military career before becoming minister of defense? --188.23.202.126 (talk) 12:37, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I suppose that, during his education at the Moscow State University, he also studied at the military department within this university, because at the Soviet times, such education was mandatory for all male students. So, simultaneously with graduation from the university, he should become lieutenant and subsequently could be drafted till the age of 27. But in 1981 (the year of the graduation from the university), he enrolled at postgraduate school and had a deferment from the call to military service as a postgraduate-student (in USSR, each had maximum 2 deferments from the conscription based on professional stydying: for example, first - as a student of the university, second - as a student of the postgraduate-school; or first - as a student of the vocational school, second - as a student of the university or institute). In 1986, he successfully defended his thesis and became a candidade of sciences. People with an academic degree were exempt from the conscription (no matter as soldier or as officer). He didn't serve in the Soviet or in the Russian armed forces, that's for sure. As for his education at the military department within the Moscow State University, his promotion to the military rank of lieutenant, and his military occupational specialty, it is needed to find a relevant sources. Early life

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that “His mother was chemist” in the early life section should say “His mother was a chemist”. Thank you. 73.4.247.67 (talk) 23:14, 25 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Well, what about it. If the Minister of Defense allows it. Let's continue the discussion.
For the content of Russian-speaking users of Wikipedia. And, for the Minister. A more interesting topic: regular assassination attempts and liquidations of the Ministers of Defense of the Russian Federation. With the active participation of Russian Military Intelligence. First, Minister Hadzhabekovich. To the torture chamber. Then, an attempted robbery and/or murder during an attempted robbery. Children and grandchildren of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation. In the Sultanate of Dubai. Where did he lure them. With promises and promises. For a vacation in his elite real estate. Mr. Garsh Anatoly Ivanovich (citizen of the Sultanate of Dubai, retired Colonel of the Military Intelligence)
A question may be asked. Why robberies?! Because, at the same time as inviting them to vacation in the Islamic Sultanate, Mr. Garsh also informed Mr. Prigozhin about the arrival of the children and grandchildren of the Russian Minister of Defense (with suitcases).Coppertwig2 (talk) 10:49, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In section 3.5 "Minister of Defence (2024–)", a new part should be added regarding a phone call between U.S. Defense Secretary Austin speaking with Belousov.  Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. – macaddct1984 (talk | contribs) 13:31, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Given that "statesman" is a subjective term, I think it would be better to refer Belousov as a "politician" at the introduction. Many thanks. TommyGundam (talk) 09:22, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
